GARRETT TENG

I create art because it gives me a wider perspective on what surrounds me: the world and nature.  When I create art I take inspiration from the ocean and California’s coastline. Allowing myself to be creative gives me peace and connects me with the inspiration of my pieces, like paying tribute to these amazing creations that surround me. Since a young age, I have always been drawn to nature, it soon grew to my love of art as I can admire the world around me to share with others; in hopes for the people who view my work to start to look at the world with a rediscovered gaze. Coming to high school was when I was truly able to use my skills to make the art I had always dreamed of through the ceramics program.
